Halloween Popsicles – Ghost Banana Pops!

Halloween in Australia is a tricky holiday to honour… By mid-October, ‘spring has sprung’, the days are reaching mid to high 20ies (celsius) and shorts, tanks and flip flops are pulled out from the back of the closet. The idea of eating candy & chocolate is contrasted with the thought of denim cut-off shorts. Meaning: Theres nowhere to hide anymore. This time of the year the gym ‘busy-ness’ tends to spike as people start to become aware that beach season is quickly approaching. These Halloween inspired ‘treats’ are a healthy, guilt-free alternative – not to mention a little bit festive!! Best part – these simple 3 ingredient treats take no time at all to make.
Ingredients (makes 2):
  • 1 x banana
  • Fat free vanilla Greek Yoghurt
  • Ghost eyes (I used organic cocao nibs however you could use dark chocolate chips, sultanas, raisons)
  • Popsicle sticks (I used skewer sticks as I had no popsicle sticks)
Directions:
  • Cut banana in half & insert skewer / popsicle sticks
  • Freeze banana half/s for minimum 2 hours (*very important)
  • After bananas are frozen – dip in yoghurt & use a spoon to smooth out
  • Add your choice of ‘ghost eyes’ and freeze
